Meet Micah and Sarah, two of our 2026 CEO students from Keokuk Community School District!👋

Sarah Sapp:
Sarah Sapp is a dedicated senior at Keokuk High School with a strong passion for helping others. She is currently applying to colleges, with the hope to attend St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, where she plans to pursue a degree in nursing with the goal of becoming an Obstetrics Nurse (OB nurse).

Alongside her academic goals, Sarah works at Pizza Hut in Keokuk, demonstrating her ability to balance responsibilities both in and out of the classroom. She is also working toward becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) before beginning college to gain early hands-on experience in the healthcare field.

Sarah is an accomplished student, having earned multiple academic awards for maintaining a high GPA throughout both middle and high school. She is actively involved in several extracurricular activities, including Colorguard (2 years), Show Choir (3 years), and Bowling—a sport she has enjoyed since childhood and became more serious about in middle school.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is known for her kindness and willingness to help others, Sarah is a compassionate and driven individual who is sure to make a meaningful impact in her future career as a nurse.

Micah McKune:
Micah McKune is a new student currently attending Keokuk High School and plans on going to college for a business degree. She has not applied to college yet but plans on applying to Iowa State University and University of Iowa.

Micah currently works at the Hancock County Vet Clinic in Hamilton, IL as a vet tech which means Micah helps in surgery, and she takes care of the dogs that are boarding there. She also helps people find the right medicine for their animals.

Micah has cheered for all 4 years of high school. 3 of her years cheering she cheered for the West Hancock Titians. Then this year is cheering for the Keokuk Chiefs.

Fun facts about Micah is that she has 2 siblings. An older brother named Malachi, and a younger sister named Madelyn. Micah also loves to hang out with her friends and going on drives with the music up and the windows down.
